Located just off Rt 113, Snow Hill is easily accessible from Salisbury, Pocomoke or Ocean City, the town boasts fine examples of Federal, Queen Anne, Gothic Revival, and Victorian style architecture in its houses and downtown business district. Many of these buildings have been carefully restored to reflect their original beauty. Use the town's self guided Historic Walking Tour Map to enjoy over 50 remarkable sites in the town.

Area museums include Furnace Town Living Heritage Museum, Julia A. Purnell Museum, and the Mt Zion One Room School House. If genealogy is your interest, investigate in the Pitts Collection in the Snow Hill Branch of the Worcester County Library and the Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture located at Salisbury University.

Park your car once in the downtown area and stroll through the streets to visit six art galleries and studios filled with a variety of original work from local and regional artists. Along your walk you will also find a book store, small shops, two florists,several banks, the Post Office, the Worcester County Court House and Government Center. Drop in the Worcester County Tourism Office for detailed information about the town. Take 2 Scoops offers quick lunches for picnics in the town parks and fine dining is available at The Palette.

You will find overnight accommodations at several Bed & Breakfast Inns in the town. After breakfast you will want to rent canoes or kayaks from the Pocomoke River and Canoe Company to experience the beautiful gently flowing Pocomoke River. There are Canoe and Kayak Trails nearby to give you a more complete experience on the river. Charter a tour on The Miss Rai, a riverboat docked at Sturgis Park. Bass fishing on the river is a popular sport. Licenses are not required to fish from the docks of the public parks. Public Parks include the Pocomoke River State Park, Gateway Park, Byrd Park and Sturgis Park in town. Captain Bruce Wooten has Charter boats and tours for visitors. Nearby Public Landing and Taylor landing have public boat ramps and dockage.
