Things to Do
Residents and visitors will find Snow Hill offers many recreational opportunities as well as sights to explore. The Pocomoke River provides great fishing, paddling, or pleasure boating. The three municipal parks along the river offer boat landings, boat dockage and public facilities. Byrd Park also has basketball courts and a playground. The Pocomoke River State Park also offers recreational opportunities as well as camping. For those interested in learning more about the history of Snow Hill and Worcester County, Furnace Town Living Heritage Museum off Rt. 12 and the Julia A. Purnell Museum on Market Street offer a look back in time. The Historic District Walking Tour provides a self-guided walk to see the town’s architectural history.
